Okay. Let’s do this.

Ensure that the dealer or individual understands that you will be scheduling an inspection. They will more than likely require a deposit to hold the unit for that date — obtain documentation that it is a refundable deposit.

After discussing a date that works for all parties and signing our contract to hold the date, please let the seller know that we will need the following to conduct a thorough inspection:

  • full propane tank(s), if applicable

  • One third tank of gas, minimum (for the generator to operate)

  • access to 30/50Amp electrical outlet and the 30/50Amp electrical cord

  • filled water tank (for water pump)

  • adequate space around the RV in order to fully extend slides and awnings.

Day of Inspection.

The day of the inspection is a long one — 6-8 hours for both of us to focus on every aspect of the interior and exterior of the vehicle. You can expect that in 24-48 hours, you will receive a link and a password to view your report and ~300-500 photos and videos. A secondary Request List is also created that can be provided to the dealership in order to discuss repairs or assist in negotiations.
